Late this morning Mom and I dropped Pat off at physical therapy (very bad sprained ankle and she can't drive) and went to get groceries. I'm not usually too excited about that, but today I knew I would soon have one of my favorite foods in the world...a headlight donut! I have never seen these tasty morsels anywhere but central New York. I have seen a few attempts other places, but they never quite measure up. I have been dreaming of having one of these donuts for a few months now and can't believe I was here for 2 1/2 days before I got one. yum, yum, yum!
I don't think I ever realized these are only found in Upstate New York. My dad happens to also love them. :)
